TESTIMONIALS

"Since Hannah has been going to this centre, she has gained so much confidence going out in the community and trying so many different experiences. This has enabled her to attend other social classes and groups outside of living to learn which has widened her friendship group and helped enormously with her anxiety issues. She has done so much with Living to Learn, she loves going every day and loves all the staff who make it so enjoyable and fun."

"We couldn't be more thrilled with the progress we've seen in our son Taylor since he started attending Living to Learn. The growth in his confidence and independence has been remarkable. Taylor used to be hesitant to engage in new activities and socialize with others, but now he eagerly participates and initiates interactions with peers and educators alike. Living to Learn has provided Taylor with a nurturing environment where he feels supported and encouraged to explore his interests and capabilities. The dedicated staff at Living to Learn have played a crucial role in fostering Taylor's sense of self-assurance and autonomy. As parents, our utmost priority is Taylor's wellbeing, and we have complete trust in the care and guidance he receives at Living to Learn. Knowing that he is in such capable hands allows us to feel at ease while he is away from home, and we are grateful for the positive impact this has had on Taylor's overall development. We wholeheartedly recommend Living to Learn to any parent seeking a safe and enriching educational environment for their child. Thank you to the entire team at Living to Learn for their dedication and commitment to nurturing young minds like Taylor's."

"Exceeded our expectations and do what they say they will do. Living to Learn is a safe, well planned skills-based centre for young adults with learning disabilities.  The staff are well-trained to deal with all eventualities your young adult may experience during the day, meaning parents/carers can leave their young adult in the knowledge that they are well looked after and happy whilst learning valuable independent and life-experience skills."

"Living to Learn is in a class of it’s own and my son is fortunate to be able to go there every week.  The staff team are dedicated, enthusiastic and really care for the young people who attend the centre.  They recognise the needs of all the young people and ensure everyone enjoys a fulfilling and fun day – working on the allotment, a visit to the hair salon, out and about in the community plus the many other engaging activities available give a great variety to Luke’s day.  Living to Learn has enriched Luke’s life more than we could ever have hoped for."

“Living to Learn allowed my autistic son (19 years old) to learn different life skills, helped him to be more confident among others, going to Living to Learn means my son is getting more and more out of his shell in a very friendly and supportive environment that meets his needs. Living to Learn is a life line to my son and me.“

"Kevin has been attending Living to Learn for several years now and absolutely loves it! The quality of the provision is excellent, the staff are lovely and the facilities and opportunities are fantastic! My son has been actively involved in Design and Technology (making some amazing items for the Christmas Fayre), attending the allotment weekly, planting vegetables etc and reaping the benefits when they are ready to pick, Independent Travel, shopping to source food in order to cook his lunch once a week, community project's, celebrating the many important events throughout the year, lots of outsourced fun events, sometimes even a trip to B&Q (which he loves) to obtain materials for a project, the list is endless! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Living to Learn and I am so grateful for the opportunities it enables my son to embrace and enjoy! I love the fact that he always wants to attend (3 days a week) and is extremely happy to be there, that’s the best testimony for me as his Mum. Thank you Living to Learn!"

"Having visited Living to Learn, my first impression was of a very happy atmosphere. The students were engaged in a number of different activities and all looked to be really enjoying themselves (from their smiling faces). The facilities available are second to none. Nothing has been spared to give the students the tools to 'Live and Learn' The staff are highly professional, caring and take their teaching beyond the norm. Living to Learn is the perfect environment to help nurture a student with additional needs to move forward and succeed in their day to day living arrangements."

"Living to Learn is the most incredible service for those who have learning difficulties or disabilities. I attended their last Christmas Fayre which was wonderful. The service users took centre stage performing Christmas songs which they all appeared to love and really enjoy doing. As the day went on, those who were there got to see how amazing and hands on all the staff are with the service users and they all seemed so happy to have a safe space to be themselves. The new centre that has just been opened is great and leaves plenty of room for more people to join the community that has been built. I cannot recommend using this service to whomever may be considering it."

"Our daughter Amy has attended Living to Learn for a few years now and absolutely loves going. It means the world to her knowing she will see all of her friends and be helped and guided by all of the wonderful friendly staff with all of the varied activities on offer. Her skills have improved so much, from cooking, cleaning, shopping and signing to name a few. She’s had so many new experiences and loves to tell us all about her day. We couldn’t wish for anything more fulfilling for her and gives us peace of mind that she is so happy and well looked after."
